Illuminata Lighting Design (ILD) provides innovative and tasteful lighting design for homes, offices and landscapes. We work with contractors, interior designers, architects, landscape designers, business owners and homeowners to create a design that makes your environment calm or dynamic, pleasing and functional while controlling energy costs and being environmentally responsible. Our goal is to create lighting magic, no matter how simple or extravagant your project is.

ILD is a “green business”. A major focus of our business is designing and selecting energy saving fixtures, devices, and controls whenever possible. It is to your advantage, with the escalating costs of fuel, and therefore electricity, to incorporate into your design plan energy conserving fixtures and controls. As a “green business” we see it both as our responsibility and as an opportunity to contribute towards future sustainability. We are a Marin Green Business member and a member of the northern California chapter of the United States Green Builders Council (USGBC).

Patrick Killian, the principal designer for ILD, has been an electrical contractor and lighting designer for many years. He has worked with some of the top designers and building contractors in the Bay area. These projects have given him first-hand knowledge of both fixtures, control systems, as well as creative design solutions.
